The faculty and staff of the Hussman Institute for Human Genomics focuses on the identification of genes involved in various human diseases and disorders. Our studies range from neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson and Alzhiemer Disease to disorders like autism and asperger syndrome. We also study opthalmologic genetic disorders, such as age-related macular degeneration and glaucoma. The neurological disorders include Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, neural tube defects, thrombotic storm, and trichotillomania.
