Yvonne Edwards Ph.D., is Research Assistant Professor at the Dr John T. MacDonald Department of Human Genetics, School of Medicine, University of Miami. Dr. Yvonne Edwards has over twenty years experience in the field of Computational Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics. Her research interests are in next generation data analysis, large-scale genome sequencing, assembly and functional annotation, gene prioritization strategies, stem cell informatics, gene expression regulation and structural genomics. She is also Director of Bioinformatics, John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics. As Director of Bioinformatics, she is responsible for Information Technology, Bioinformatics and Advanced Systems Integration for Medical Genomics and Laboratory Cores.
