Michael L. Cuccaro, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Human Genetics and a clinical child psychologist who specializes in autism and related developmental disorders. Dr. Cuccaro is the Associate Director of the Patient and Family Ascertainment Section in the MIHG Center for Genomic Medicine. His primary research interest is the development of behavioral methods to construct and extend clinical phenotypes of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. His research has focused on children with autism and related disorders as well as disorders with overlapping clinical features such as language disorders, mental retardation, ADHD, trichotillomania, Tourette's disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
