Center for Genetic Epidemiology and Statistical GeneticsCenter Director: Eden Martin, Ph.D. Dr. Martin is a statistical geneticist with experience in both theoretical methods development and applied research. Her methodological research has focused on statistical methods for mapping complex diseases genes. She developed several popular family-based association methods, including the PDT and APL tests. Most recently, her research has expanded to include analysis of next-generation sequence data. In addition to my methodological work, I have over ten years of experience managing analysis of large genetic studies in Parkinson disease, Alzheimer's disease, and autism. The CGESG provides state-of-the-art analytic methodology to discover human disease genes. The Center includes faculty researchers with expertise in genetic epidemiology and statistical genetics as they relate to human disease.
